Scottish Enterprise sought to map the packaging supply chain for Scottish spirits, establish a baseline of economic and environmental impact, and identify collaboration opportunities.

We carried out an extensive research project, including 25in-depth interviews with distillers and packaging suppliers, detailed supply chain mapping, a baseline CO₂ impact assessment, and a review of regulatory requirements across the top 20 export markets.

The project provided Scottish Enterprise with strategic insights to foster industry collaboration and investment, while identifying key innovation pathways to accelerate progress toward joined-up sustainability.
